I’m ready to spill the beans about Jun’s business lunch Dubai—it’s been on our list forever. Jun’s isn’t exactly incognito; the Michelin Guide let the cat out of the bag in 2023! And now, it’s recently joined the scene at Time Out Market with ‘Little Jun’s’. If it’s not on your foodie radar yet, you might need to add it!
We’re all in for these business lunches, and our list is seriously stacking up. It’s a Dubai thing—seems like every place offers them. It’s top-tier dining without breaking the bank. These deals usually happen between 12:00 and 15:00, Monday to Friday. So, if you’re lunching during those hours, it’s worth checking out the ‘Business Lunch’ menu.
All our reviews stand unbiased and unaffiliated. We’re not fans of those sponsored reviews that shout ‘paid promotion’ (wink! You know the ones… ‘mouthwatering blah blah’). Our focus is on genuine foodie adventures. So, let’s begin the journey with Jun’s!
Jun’s, located on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Blvd in Downtown Dubai, is fortunately easy to spot from the road, ensuring you won’t miss it at the last minute. The added perk of free valet parking at the doorstep makes it even better!
Cuisine : Asian/American.
Lunch Hours : Monday to Friday 12:00 PM – 3:30 PM
Meal Options : Two Courses: AED 110 or Three Courses: AED 130
We chose outdoor seating as the weather was gorgeous. It’s worth noting they do not serve alcohol outside, so if you fancy a cheeky drink, you’ll need to head indoors.
Now, let’s talk about the food. We chose the two-course menu at a bargain of DHS110 each. The menu was impressively generous; while typically, you’d choose from around 5 dishes, this menu offered closer to 10!
I ordered the wagyu beef potsticker—featuring wagyu beef, shrimp, Jun’s chili crunch, hot & sour vinaigrette, and Szechuan powder. Exciting, right? It arrived as four pieces resembling spring rolls, followed by a dark broth generously poured over. ‘No spoon?’ I asked. Turns out, that broth was a spice bomb! Made for dipping, not your usual slurpable one; however, it was bursting with flavour and downright delicious.
My hubby ordered the chili chicken dish—made with Kashmiri chili, , chicken thigh, Szechuan peppercorn, and jalapeño. Trust me, I’m ordering that next time! It was huge and the flavours? Unbelievable! Spicy, crispy, sweet, sour—all in one bite!
Next, I ordered the 150g Australian Wagyu steak frites, and it was one of the best I’ve had. The smoky flavor was incredible, cooked medium, just how I like it. Sharing it with hubby was tough, but seeing his reaction made it worth the sacrifice. The steak was perfect; the fries were great (just needed a pinch of salt). I enjoyed the al dente broccoli, but the burger-like sauce felt out of place. Fortunately, the steak was so good that it didn’t need any sauce, so I ditched it!
Hubby ordered the char siu wagyu short rib clay pot rice—described as wagyu short rib, char siu BBQ sauce, and a fried egg over clay pot jasmine rice. The waiter gave it a nice mix at the table, a nice touch. I took a bite, and it was indeed tasty, but I was so engrossed in my own dish that I didn’t ask for a second bite, haha. Hubby, on the other hand, cleaned his plate and said it was super tasty.
We have to give Jun’s a solid 10/10, placing it right at the top of our business lunches in Dubai list (keep an eye out for our top 3 post). The service was excellent, and the food was incredible. We’re already planning our return to sample more dishes and perhaps indulge in an evening meal!
Have you been to Jun’s, would you recommend it. Feel free to share your thoughts below and give me some inspiration on what to order on our next visit!
