La Mar Dubai brunch review: Atlantis The Royal

La Mar Pisco brunch Dubai

La Mar Dubai brunch review

Last week, we we visited the La Mar brunch Dubai which is located at Atlantis The Royal Hotel, and let me tell you, it was amazing!

From the moment we arrived, we were wowed by everything. Atlantis The Royal Hotel lives up to the hype—it’s incredibly stylish, filled with sculptures and water features.

To reach the restaurant, you ascend in a stunning lift with a water feature that makes you feel like you’re inside a waterfall. You must visit it just for this lift alone!

Vibrant and Chic

The vibe at the La Mar brunch Dubai is vibrant and chic, with a large terrace with great views of the fountains. Unfortunately, since it was the middle of summer, we couldn’t sit outside, but the inside was just as cool. The decor is minimalist with a slight boho touch, creating a sophisticated yet laid-back atmosphere.

La Mar Brunch Review: A Peruvian Feast

Now, onto the main event—the food! The La Mar brunch serves a wide range of Peruvian dishes that are simply delicious. Even though we’re not big seafood eaters, we still enjoyed the heavily seafood-based starters. My favourites were the zesty Cebiche Clasico, bursting with fresh lime that really wakes up your taste buds, and the Quinoa Salad with its creamy burrata and satisfying quinoa crunch—both absolute must-tries.

I appreciate that Peruvian cuisine is indeed heavily influenced by seafood. While the seafood was top-notch, we would have liked a bit more meat on the menu.

The Mains

The mains were great—we finally saw the appearance of some meat, woohoo! The striploin skewers were the highlight, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavour. The stir-fried rice was a close second, so good it almost stole the show. And those crispy tiger prawns? Yummy! We left with happy bellies and a newfound appreciation for Peruvian cuisine.

A Cocktail Lover’s Dream

As cocktail fans, we were pretty impressed with the drinks—and that’s saying something! La Mar offered several unique Peruvian-themed cocktails alongside about eight classics. My favourites were the Pisco Sour and the Inca Mule. Each cocktail was presented beautifully, making them almost too pretty to drink—almost! If cocktails aren’t your thing, don’t worry—there were plenty of other options like beer and wine, plus some fantastic mocktails for the teetotalers in the group. Cheers!

The Entertainment: Fun but Loud

The brunch also featured a DJ and a live musician who roamed around with traditional instruments, including shakers, drums, and a wooden flute. The entertainment was fun, though a bit loud at times, making conversation tricky. But after a few cocktails, chatting became less of a priority—haha!”

A Must-Visit Dubai Brunch

Would I return to La Mar’s Saturday brunch? Absolutely! It ticks all the boxes and will impress even the fussiest of friends. While some brunches focus more on the drinks than the food, La Mar has struck the perfect balance. The ambience is perfect for a relaxed yet fun dining experience. The service was excellent, and our glasses were always full! It’s a definite winner—except, of course, if you really hate Peruvian food and seafood.

In conclusion, while the noise level was a bit high, making it hard to chat at times, the overall experience was fantastic. I’ll definitely be back. See you soon, La Mar!

The La Mar brunch Dubai runs from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm every Saturday, and the prices are Dhs385 (Non-Alcoholic), Dhs455 (Wine & Beer), Dhs495 (Sparkling).

Booking the brunch was easy; I arranged it online through their website – La Mar Pisco Website
