Pierchic Lunch Review

Pierchic Table view of Burj Al Arab

Pierchic Chic Lunch at Al Qasr

Shhh… this might be one of Dubai’s best kept lunch secrets.

When family visit Dubai for the second time, the pressure is very real. You can’t just recycle the usual tourist itinerary and hope no one notices. You need something that feels a little special, a little unexpected. The kind of place that makes you sound quietly confident when you say, “Trust me, you’ll love this.”

We’d already enjoyed a relaxed pool day at Zeta Seventy Seven earlier in the week, but with my sister in law firmly in her Burj Al Arab obsession era, lunch needed to come with a proper view.

That’s exactly why we chose Pierchic’s Chic Lunch at Jumeirah Al Qasr. Slightly against my better judgement, I’m letting you in on it too. The lunch runs Monday through Saturday from 1pm to 2.30pm yes, Saturdays included. Already promising. But did it live up to the setting? Here’s what we thought.

The deal is pretty amazing:

  • 2 courses for AED 150

  • 3 courses for AED 175

For a venue like Pierchic, perched over the sea at Al Qasr, that price almost feels cheeky. Valet parking is complimentary, too!. Pro tip: don’t forget to get your ticket stamped before you leave.

And a little insider tip: Pierchic is kid-friendly at lunch, unlike dinner where it’s usually 12 and up. They’ve even got kids’ options, they  just ask that parents keep the little ones well-behaved so everyone can enjoy the experience.

The Walk to Pierchic Is Half the Experience

It’s a 10 minute walk from the hotel lobby to the pier. Ours quickly turned into 20 minutes, thanks to photo stops, a short detour onto the neighbouring beach, and plenty of “wait, look at this” moments. Honestly, it was magical we didn’t want it to end!.

You stroll past the beach and then along a long, stunning pier, with the sea stretching out all around you. Pierchic perches at the very end, seemingly floating over the water like a scene straight out of a movie. And there’s the Burj Al Arab, casually showing off its iconic silhouette the entire way.

In the peak summer months, you can request a buggy, but my advice is if the weather allows, take the walk. You won’t regret it.

First Impressions and Setting

Inside, the restaurant is intimate, elegant, and quietly luxurious. While the dress code says smart casual, I’d definitely lean more towards dressing up. This is Pierchic after all, and you want to match the setting.

We were seated and immediately treated to an excellent bread selection. Cheese bread muffins, focaccia, and breadsticks served with high quality olive oil and balsamic. A very nice start.

The Food: Hits, Misses and Standouts

For a set menu, the choice is surprisingly generous, with four starters and five mains to choose from. We started off with the beef carpaccio and burrata, both beautifully presented and full of fresh quality ingredients, and lots of flavour. A very good start.

When it came to mains, we covered a fair bit of the menu. My husband went for the meatballs, my brother in law and I chose the bolognese, and my sister in law ordered the pesto and ricotta pasta.

The bolognese was exactly what you hope for. Light, authentic, and served with fresh homemade pasta that tasted properly Italian.

The meatballs arrived swimming in a delicious sauce but without any pasta or sides, which felt a little unexpected and, if I’m honest, slightly disappointing. Luckily, that excellent bread came to the rescue, and a bit of spaghetti was very generously donated from my plate.

The undeniable table favourite though (we’re very much a sharing family) was the pesto and ricotta pasta. A huge portion, freshly made, and absolutely packed with flavour. It’s the dish we’re still talking about now, and the one I would rush back to order again without hesitation.

Final Thoughts on the Pierchic Chic Lunch

This lunch really blew us away. Impeccable service, top-quality ingredients, and every detail thoughtfully executed. Drinks aren’t included in the price, but the service charge is, so no awkward surprises at the end.

After lunch, we wandered through Souk Madinat, which is a lovely way to end the afternoon and an excellent excuse to burn off some of that pasta. If you’re planning this lunch, I highly recommend tagging that on.

If you’re looking to impress guests, enjoy an iconic Dubai view, and experience Pierchic without committing to a full evening splurge, this is the one.

Just maybe don’t tell everyone about!
