Punjab Grill Business Lunch Review

Four Courses for AED 99 at Punjab Grill, Business Bay… We Had Questions

You know I’ll always chase a good business lunch in Dubai, but this week’s find genuinely stopped me in my tracks. Punjab Grill. Four courses. AED 99 per person.

I mean… how? Is it one dish cut into four tiny portions? Is there a sneaky catch hiding somewhere in the small print? Naturally, we had to go and investigate.

And honestly? I’m still confused. In the best way.

Punjab Grill Elegant Without the Attitude

Punjab Grill is in Business Bay, inside the Anantara, and the vibe is exactly what you want for a long, relaxed lunch. It’s stylish, elegant and very Dubai, but not stuffy or intimidating, and most importantly don’t feel rushed.

The business lunch runs weekdays from 12pm to 4pm, which already makes it one of the better-value lunch deals in Business Bay. And then there’s the drinks…
House wine for AED 30. Beer for AED 25.

On a Friday afternoon? We were never saying no.

The Menu That Sounds Too Good to Be True

This isn’t your standard “starter + main” situation. This is a four-course business lunch in Dubai that feels more like a tasting menu.

You choose one dish from each section. The portions are generous, the pacing is relaxed, nothing feels rushed. We were there for around an hour and a half, which is exactly how a proper lunch should feel.

Not a grab-and-go.
Not a “shovel it in and leave.”
A sit-back-and-enjoy-it lunch.

We ordered:

Samosa Chaat and Dal Shorba
Punjabi Chicken Tikka and Raunakeen Lamb Seekh
Butter Chicken and Mutton Rogan Josh
Chenna Poda Pie and Bebinca

And somehow… there wasn’t a single weak dish. Which basically never happens.

Punjab Grill Appetisers

The Samosa Chaat was instantly the table favourite. Crispy, tangy, slightly spicy, with little bursts of sweetness. A lot going on, but perfectly balanced.

The Dal Shorba was warming, comforting and full of flavour, but still light enough that you didn’t feel heavy going into the next course. Exactly how a soup should be.

From the Tandoor: Properly Impressive

Both tandoor dishes were excellent.

The Punjabi Chicken Tikka was smoky, juicy and beautifully marinated.
The Raunakeen Lamb Seekh was richer, deeper, and incredibly tender.

At this point, we were already asking again:
How is this AED 99?

Punjab Grill Curries (And That Naan…)

If I had to pick a favourite part of the meal, it would be the curries.

The Butter Chicken was silky, indulgent and perfectly balanced.
The Mutton Rogan Josh was rich, aromatic and full of depth.

And the naan bread deserves its own paragraph. Soft. Fresh. Fluffy. Dangerous. The kind of naan you keep tearing into even when you’re full, just to mop up every last bit of sauce.

The Extra That Was 100% Worth It

There are optional add-ons, and we ordered the Kashmiri Lamb Chop for AED 25.

Do. Not. Skip. This.

It was melt-in-the-mouth tender, unbelievably juicy, and coated in the most delicious sauce. Every single bite felt like something you’d happily pay double for. Easily worth the extra.

Desserts: A Gentle Finish

Desserts were nicely presented and a good way to end such a big meal. Indian desserts aren’t usually my biggest wow moment flavour-wise, but both the Chenna Poda Pie and Bebinca were pleasant, light and easy to finish.

The Bit That Confused Us Most

Here’s the strange part.

The restaurant felt surprisingly empty.

And honestly? That’s crazy. Because the food, the service, the pacing and the value are all spot on. For a place delivering this level of quality at this price, it deserves to be packed every weekday lunchtime.

Final Thoughts: Just Book It

If you’re looking for a business lunch in Business Bay, a 99 dirham lunch in Dubai, or just a genuinely good Indian restaurant that feels special without the price tag… this is it.

This is not your average lunch deal.
It’s more like a relaxed tasting menu where you’re encouraged to slow down and enjoy it. If you want to book you can do so like we did here

And just to be crystal clear, as always:

• This is not an ad
• Nothing was gifted
• We paid for everything ourselves
• I’m not affiliated with Punjab Grill in any way

This is just me sharing a genuinely great find… because sharing is caring😉
