Sfumato Dubai Business Lunch Review
We’re always on the hunt for great business lunches, and our latest find is Sfumato business lunch. Okay, it might not be Dubai’s best kept secret judging by how packed it was, but it’s definitely one that deserves even more attention.
Sfumato is an upscale yet approachable dining concept from OY Hospitality (the team behind Soon and Soirée). Led by Chef Jince Joseph, this homegrown gem focuses on “affordable luxury”, using locally sourced ingredients to create refined yet comforting dishes. Located on the ground floor of The Opus Tower in Business Bay, Sfumato feels both sophisticated and relaxed, perfect for a midweek lunch that impresses without being over the top.

Sfumato First Impressions
When we arrived, every table was full, which says everything about its growing popularity. The décor struck the right balance between relaxed and elegant, with thoughtful details everywhere, from the modern interiors to the carefully chosen crockery that perfectly matched each dish. The atmosphere had a pleasant buzz, with a busy open kitchen and upbeat music playing at a sensible level, ideal for conversation without having to shout across the table.
The Business Lunch Deal at Sfumato Dubai
If you’re looking for value and quality in the heart of Business Bay, Sfumato’s business lunch is an excellent choice. This deal runs Monday to Friday, from 12 to 4 p.m. Prices start at AED135 for two courses.

We started with complimentary warm bread and salted butter. The bread was bite sized and nicely toasted, and the butter was creamy, salty, and dangerously easy to eat.

Sfumato is Licensed
It’s always a bonus when a restaurant is licensed, and Sfumato has some great value tipples to go with lunch. That said, we usually skip alcohol during the week, so we stuck to the softer side of things. My husband went for a mojito mocktail, which was fresh, cooling, and not overly sweet, so I can highly recommend that if you want to keep it dry.

Sfumato Business Lunch Starters
I went for the mango shrimp salad, which arrived in the most beautiful ornate glass dish. It was full of vibrant contrasts, the sweetness of the mango, the tang of grapefruit, and a hint of onion paired perfectly with the tender shrimp in a light dressing. My husband went for the salmon tartare, which was fresh, delicate, and full of flavour. Both dishes mentioned having chilli on the menu, but the spice was very mild, so even those who aren’t fans of heat could enjoy them

Sfumato Business Lunch Mains
For mains, I opted for the chow mein, full of depth with quite a spicy kick! If you prefer things mild, I recommend letting the waiter know. For me, it was spot on, rich, savoury, and satisfying.
The steak, cooked to request medium, came with asparagus and baby potatoes and was perfectly juicy. My husband, who happens to be a complete steak snob, didn’t leave a scrap, which tells you all you need to know. Service was quick and efficient, which is always appreciated during a business lunch when most people are short on time.

Desserts at Sfumato Dubai
The lemon loaf cake was the highlight of the entire meal. Warm, moist, and perfectly zesty, it struck the right balance between sweet and zingy. I’m not easily impressed when it comes to desserts, but this one was seriously impressive. The portion was generous too, and I couldn’t finish mine, though my husband was more than happy to help.

Overall Experience
If you’re searching for a business lunch in Business Bay, Sfumato’s business lunch ticks every box. The food was fantastic, generous portions, the service smooth, and the atmosphere ideal for both meetings and casual catch-ups. It delivers that “affordable luxury” experience.
Top tip: valet parking is available, just don’t forget to ask your server to validate your ticket.
We’re already planning a return visit to try their ramen, which has been getting glowing reviews online. Given how good everything else was, I have a feeling it’ll live up to the hype.
