Tresind Studio Review : 3 Michelin Star Magic We’ll Never Forget

Tresind Studio Dubai: 3 Michelin Star Restaurant

Tresind Studio interior

Tresind Studio is no secret in Dubai. It’s been sitting pretty with two Michelin stars for some time—but now it’s made history. As of 2025, it holds not one, not two, but three Michelin stars. That’s culinary royalty.

So when our 20-year anniversary rolled around, we thought—why not celebrate with the most spectacular dinner we could imagine? No question about it: we booked Tresind Studio. And spoiler alert—yes, it was every bit as extraordinary as you’d expect from a restaurant where the chefs use tweezers more than spatulas.

Booking: A Commitment, but Worth It

Booking was straightforward—everything’s online, but be prepared to pay the full amount upfront. Fair enough, really. They do offer a full refund if you cancel with more than 48 hours’ notice, which feels generous by fine dining standards.

There are only two seatings: 6pm and 9pm. Neither is perfect for us (who eats at 6 or 9?), but we chose the earlier option. Just a heads up: don’t be late. They serve all six tables in unison, and with 18 courses to coordinate, timing is everything. We arrived at 5:30, feeling like overachievers, and were whisked to a calm little lounge area for a pre-dinner cocktail. A very promising start.

Cocktails: Indian-Inspired and Seriously Clever

Tresind Studio cocktail menu

We take cocktails seriously, so when I spotted one with garam masala, cumin, and dal foam, I wasn’t sure if it was genius or madness. Turns out, it was a bit of both—and absolutely delicious.

Tresind Studio Cocktail

We ordered two cocktails, and both were beautifully balanced—bold but never gimmicky. If you’ve ever wondered what a mixologist in Mumbai might create with a PhD in flavour, this was it. I would have happily paid double. The bar alone is a reason to visit Tresind Studio.

Drinks Pairing: Tempting, But We Declined

Next, we were offered the drinks pairing. It sounded tempting, but also a little pricey, so we declined.

Then came the moment we’d been waiting for—we were taken to our table. Positioned right in front of the open kitchen, it felt like we had box seats to a culinary ballet. And what a show it was.

A Journey Through India, One (Tiny, Perfect) Plate at a Time

The tasting menu at Trèsind Studio is a celebration of India, split into four regions. Each part of the menu showcases a different area of the country, with every dish telling a unique story. It’s a mix of history, flavours, and creativity—each course feels like a little adventure for your taste buds, with every bite offering something new and exciting.

Ghee Crab

Every dish was beautifully plated, with textures and colours that looked like something out of a modern art museum. But here’s the best part: the taste was never compromised. This wasn’t style over substance; it was style and substance.

It’s hard to pick favourites—my taste buds were in heaven from start to finish, and every dish brought something completely different to the table. I won’t spoil too much—the surprises are half the magic—but a few standouts? A crispy fried doughnut with a comforting broth I never knew I needed, a clever reimagining of Pani Puri, and Ghee roast crab, with burnt cinnamon that’s still living rent-free in my mind.

The One Dish I Didn’t Love (But It’s Probably Just Me)

There was just one dish I had to give a hard pass—the mushroom noodles. I’ve never liked mushrooms, especially the texture, and this one really wasn’t for me. I gave it an honest try (ever the optimist), but it was the only course out of eighteen I just couldn’t finish—which says a lot.

Tresind Studio Service: Impeccable!

The service at Tresind Studio is spot onfriendly without being over the top, and polished without feeling stiff. You can tell the team genuinely loves what they do, and they want you to love it too. Every course came with a little story and just the right amount of personality—especially from one cheeky waiter who kept things fun.

The pacing was spot on, with well-timed breaks offered just when we needed them. Watching the chefs at work was mesmerising—some dishes required two or three chefs to plate, each one meticulously adding the tiniest details like they were performing precision surgery

A Sweet Surprise to End the Night

Just when we thought things couldn’t get better, the staff presented us with a hand-painted anniversary gift from their in-house artist, Charles (his work is really good—follow him on Instagram @charlespaintings_256_). A small, heartfelt gesture that somehow wrapped up the evening with the same precision and care they applied to every course.

We walked out full, happy, and very slightly smug that we’d picked Tresind Studio to celebrate something as big as two decades together.

Tresind Studio: Book It. Don’t Think Twice.

They change the menu once a year and sometimes do pop-ups too—so I’ll be keeping an eye out for what’s next.

Tresind Studio isn’t just dinner—it’s a show, a story, and something you’ll remember long after the last bite. If you’re celebrating something big (or just feel like treating yourself), book it. Order the cocktails. And wear something with a bit of stretch.

Worried about spice? Don’t be. Every dish was full of flavour without being too spicy. You can book online here
