The Lighthouse Dubai Hills – Review
Last week, The Lighthouse opened its doors in Dubai Hills Business Park, and we couldn’t wait to check it out! It seems like every time you blink in Dubai Hills, a new restaurant pops up—some are even dubbing this area the “new DIFC.” Okay, that might be a bit of a stretch—after all, DIFC boasts over 100 restaurants, while Dubai Hills Business Park has just over 10. But don’t let those numbers fool you! With one Michelin-starred restaurant and four venues earning a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2024, this small area is certainly carving out its place in the Dubai food scene. We were excited to see what The Lighthouse had to offer, and here’s what we thought of it!
Lighthouse Dubai Hills First Impressions
The interior feels warm and trendy, almost making you forget you’re in Dubai Hills Business Park. With its Parisian classic style, the space is minimalist yet stylish, making it a comfortable spot to relax with a drink and chat about the deeper meanings of life—or maybe just debate which Netflix show to binge next.
Food For Thought
Now, let’s talk about the food! The menu features a Mediterranean-style cuisine. The salmon carpaccio with truffle from the raw bar menu was the undeniable highlight—definitely a must-try! Among the salads, the goat’s cheese salad stood out, bursting with flavour and perfectly balanced. Another crowd-pleaser was the Zucchini and Feta pizzetta, which was so delicious that it vanished in a flash.
From the mains, we all agreed that the sharing dish—the Beef Stroganoff—was the highlight. It came with 250g of grass-fed grilled striploin, button mushrooms, sautéed onions, stroganoff sauce, and shoestring potatoes. The beef was perfectly cooked, and the sauce paired really well with it. Although, to be fair, it didn’t really taste like a classic stroganoff—it was more like a peppery steak sauce with mushrooms, but no complaints here. In fact, forks were flying as we fought over the last bites—the sharing got very competitive, haha!
Drinks & Cocktails
Drinks at The Lighthouse, Dubai Hills, were absolutely amazing! We decided to order classic margaritas, even though they weren’t on the menu. Our server was super accommodating and arranged for them to be made for us. Let me tell you, those margaritas were fantastic!
Feeling adventurous, we also tried a couple of cocktails from the signature menu. My friend and I absolutely loved the Dandy Candy (Aperol, passion fruit, orange liqueur). It was perfectly balanced and definitely one of the best cocktails I’ve had in Dubai. Her husband chose a White Negroni, which he enjoyed just as much. With drinks this good, I can’t wait to return just for the cocktails!
Saturday Vibes at The Lighthouse
We visited on a Saturday evening, and the atmosphere at The Lighthouse Dubai Hills was just right. A DJ was spinning some great tunes—not too loud, not too quiet—creating the perfect backdrop to keep the vibe alive without drowning out our conversations.

The service? Top-notch. Our server was friendly, quick to keep the drinks flowing, and made sure the table was spotless. We felt well taken care of without being fussed over too much, which is always a win in my book.
Will I return?
Definitely, try keeping me away, haha! The Lighthouse, Dubai Hills, is a stylish spot with a laid-back vibe and killer cocktails. This place fits the bill for a relaxed evening out. I’ll definitely be back for more drinks, and next time, I plan to take advantage of their Apéritivo offer—it looks like great value! Running daily from 4 PM to 8 PM, a selection of cocktails, including the Dandy Candy, is just AED 40! So, no guesses on what I’ll be ordering! As we were heading out, we spotted a cool crowd rolling in, making it clear that this place is quickly becoming the new favourite hangout in the area!
